What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Installed the new steering wheel that's been sitting around for months. It's a super-simple one-man job. Perhaps the most important thing not to forget is marking the splines where the steering wheel goes on the shaft. These tools for the T30 air bag bolts make the job easier still as you can access the screws with the steering wheel at any angle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006E5P8YI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Not a damn thing.
Living in Northwestern Arkansas is life in a colder climate than I like. Oh, sure, my job/home/personal life/professional life and everything else is way better than Texas - but it is colder here.
I started the car yesterday, let it run 1/2 hour and cycled the top - first time since Christmas day.
That's it. I think I need to HEAT the garage.
In fact, I've just decided to do so!

PICTURES OF NEW STEERING WHEEL You can look back up this thread to my backup camera installation post if you want to see what the old steering wheel looked like. For the guy who asked me about the diameter of the mounting shaft and splines I'd have to fetch the old wheel from the bottom of the garbage, not something I'd relish but if you really, really need to know then tell me.

Re: Oil catch can out of eBay
Some job has been done today.
Installed headliner with the charcoal matching suede headliner fabric without foam. I think all the sagging problems come from the foam backing material.
Put a new Mann cabin filter.
Placed WeatherTech universal rubber mats. Adjusted them to perfect fit.
To keep the steering wheel clean and nice I installed Steering Wheel Cover Anti-Slip Genuine Leather .
So she is ready to go

For the first time in two years, I took the roadster out of mothballs.
The Truck won't start, the Jeep is still at the shop, and the backup Minivan is getting a paint job. More importantly, the Roadster needs new tires and a State inspection. I have to put some miles on the engine as the battery was disconnected. So what day did I do this deed???? the day we had 14 degree temps and snowy ice.
Fresh gas and the car ran fine but the roads were so dicey Monday, I was afraid to push it much at all.
This morning was different. Clear and cold. Boy does that little NA six love cold air. Popping through all six gears and wishing I could use the entire speedometer. But I had to stop at 90MPH cause here in Missouri they take their law seriously. Besides it is only 13miles to work and at that speed I would not have as much time as I would like to enjoy diving the car. I cannot wait for a road trip.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Got the Roadster back today with brand new Meto's on all fours.
New TPM's that haven't yet sequenced in.
I might have to resort to the Black Tape Solution, if required.
Need to drive it a while.
Wow, nice tires. Car handles like a dream. Cannot wait for summer fun.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
If the TPMS is not working now it will not work until the sensors are set properly.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
On the TPMS, mine hasn't worked since I bought my 2005 three years ago. I finally bought a $40 external TPMS with the screw-on sensors. It works great. And no perceptible change in the tire balance....
