What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I found a puddle of windshield washer fluid under the rear of the front passenger side fender and another in front of the rear wheel. Sure enough the windshield washer tank has small split along the blow molding pinch seam at the bottom where the tank rests on its support. This is a common weak area on these tanks.
When I had it out once before nearly six years ago I used silicone to attach a small plate hoping it would spread the load of a full tank over a larger area of the tank bottom.
I will experiment on this tank to see if I can reseal it. They are made from polyethylene so apart from welding it there are not too many adhesives to fix it.
PE and polypropylene (PP) being two plastics that are resistant to anything bonding to them. Containers made from these materials can contain fluids that would dissolve other plastics, this property prevents adhesives from bonding to them.
A new tank is on order, so I shall drive the car without a tank in it.
After some experimentation I found that Gorilla Super Glue adhered to the polyethylene far better than anything else I had including other instant glues. I wonder if this would remain waterproof if I tried it?

Nice looking car you have there.
Slightly over weight? I thought it was a barrel on stilts. LOL
A buddy had one of those dogs in the UK, very placid until another dog went for it, then it just went for the throat, clamped on and shook the dog. Dogs did not try it more than once.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Found this YouTube video when I was looking for headlight cleaning procedures. (Note: Neighbor has "horrific" lenses on a couple of cars; was looking to see if I could find a method that didn't consume so much time.) This video shows common Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish at any auto parts store that delivers excellent results. Anyone ever tried this before?

Passenger Side
Driver's Side
Used Mothers Mag & Aluminium (gotta throw onehunderd80 a bone once in awhile - ) Polish on the wife's 2006 VW New Beetle convertible this afternoon. Headlights came out really nice! Took all of 20 minutes to do both! Didn't have to tape anything!!
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I have been using mine as a daily driver since my daughter and family returned from a 3 year posting in Italy with the Army. They have been using my Durango for their car because they are living with me while they sort out a job situation and their own living accommodations now that after 10 years he is out of the Army. The crossfire has been performing admirably during this time and is not accustomed to being a little dirty at times.
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I finished installing about 80 RGBW LED's the crossfire. This way I can change the color of any component of the car at any time. I am still writing the program for the touch screen to control them. More to come in the near future
My 9.7 inch tablet install so far
Temporary application to replace the control buttons. I plan to design a better one in the future
