What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Yes, but Thursday is go home day for me and they didn't have any new or used tires in stock in a 235 or 225.
after being gone from wife and kids for a few days I am not going to spend another night in a hotel if I don't have to.
I really need to figure out why they are wearing that bad.

I purchased my car and the tire wear was bad both front and back, the fronts had a saw toothed pattern on the outside and the rears were badly worn on the inside. The noise was terrible at highway speeds.
I went for new tires all around and an immediate alignment. The dealer could not do the alignment and I finally found a guy who said they could do it. An hour later the guy said they had done the front but could not do the rear, sorry about that but we will not charge you. Fair enough I thought and kept an eye on the rear for wear, five years later the tires still look good, more inside wear (-.035 average) not too much at all. The fronts look real good, -.020 average outside edge.
I do not flog the car and the tires have only done 13,000 miles but I am happy.
My thought is that they did some adjustment to the rear but could not do it all, they never said.

Yesterday, 1/20/17, I removed my old siren and install new one. Cleaned out the drain holes in the cowl, applied a cream to the cowl cover, getting sun burned. I found out for some reason, my new siren, which I bought from Mercedes part dealer, was suppose to chirp. mine doesn't. Either it is a non - chirper, or some how I missed something. I took the ordering number from 180's posting, it is a plug and play attachment. It will not go in backwards. It fixed my problem of the alarm system going off after setting it. So over happy, I can again lock my car up, Next project, new thermostat and replace antifreeze solution.
I forgot to include that I also put new Isolators on the windshield wipers. And thanks to Onehundred 80s' post, on how to do drivers side, one top from a gallon container of ice tea work perfectly.

I had been experiencing a dead battery on new SRT6 that I just got after the car sat for a week. Battery appeared to be 8 years old and tested good at Advanced Auto but figured it was time to change. Had a new Bosch AGM Platinum series installed and new battery dead in a week. Bought a multimeter and determined there was a 120 mA drain when parked/computer at sleep. Started pulling fuses....second fuse I pulled dropped to 20-30 mA. Apparently stock radio w nav was drawing current. I pulled radio and re-tested, no parasitic draw. Fortunately, I had purchased a new Kenwood marine radio and am I'm it (along with bass blockers and new Infinity midrange woofers) installed next week and will retest.
I also used 0000 steel wool to clean inside of exhaust tips. Wow...Paul D, that's a lot of rubbing. I guess it's paint in addition to the exhaust deposits. I'm going to try some paint stripper on the SSB before the steel wool.

I used the part 219 820 32 26 and someone said that 171 820 53 26 beeped as well so I added it to the PDF. CLICK

I replaced the cigarette lighter housing, part # 05102786AA. I removed the plastic vent cover on the passenger side (plastic fastener, 1/4 turn). Then the screw behind the cover. Remove the plastic cover to center console. Reach in and push the lighter out. I needed to pry slightly on the outlet from front. Disconnect wiring. Connect wiring and the lighter will heat (be careful), it will then pop out. Remove the lighter element. Place the housing in hole. When the plastic is flush, use the handle of a screw driver and push the metal part until it clips.

It may stop your siren but the alarm system has probably been armed.
I can see people going out to their cars and trying your method.

The fuel cap flap stays unlocked but everything else is locked.
My keys are set to unlock the drivers door and fuel cap with one press of the fob. A second press opens the boot and passenger door.

I lock and unlock the door with remote, no light on the dash.
Turn signals flash for when when doors lock and unlock.
But if I unlock the door with they key I can not start the silverfox.
Don't know if it is unhooked, haven't worried about it, I like it how it is.
Haha, never even looked for siren to check.

Yes but the siren battery is just eating up the alarm with acid I'm sure ! Yo should at least unhook it & take it out its under the windshield wiper cowl . I replaced mine not a hard job so you can just unplug & take it out .

The siren is now disconnected and the alarm no longer kills the battery. I'm happy with that.

Wow you did a lot ! I would have gave up long ago ! There are some things on this car that can't be explained or fixed ! Some times even I think it's time to trade before I find a problem that can't be fixed ! Owned for 7 yrs now & still loving this car though !!!
