What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I bought a set of those for both cars and they have the pass side listed as 19". I didn't notice that until I unpacked the box today. I usually put 20's on the pass side. My Dodge Magnum uses 19's so I can use them on it. I looked into ordering 2 more 20's for the Crossfires but shipping is three times the cost of the blades. I'll have to look around on their site to find some more stuff to by to offset the shipping.

Try a little more force on them.

I did try a bit of force but then realized why they wouldn't lock into place
I'll give it another look tomorrrow

I have now fitted TRICO 47-700 Break-To-Fit refill blades to my OEM wipers. One blade fits as it comes and the other needs 2" snapped off and the rubber 2" cut off.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
When installing wipers on my vehicles, I like to use just a dab of vaseline on the clips/stubs. This helps the clips some and it just evaporates during time/weather. What you definitely do not want, is the blade flying off while they are running/operating. Forcing the clip may 'crack' it with a possible failure down the road (literally). I find the possibility of them scratching my windshield bad... I have also found a few things Rock Auto sells that is supposed to fit my vehicles, a gamble until I get them and fit them to said vehicle. Good thing they have a solid return policy with regards to their fitment listings. If you get something that doesn't fit, make them buy it back. One of my most remembered fit problem involved a set of 4 shocks for my pickup, the 'set' had a very good rebate BUT the two rear lower shock mounting points would in NO WAY mount properly. The fit guide specifically stated my pickup model/axle but the bolt hole shim in the shock was way too small. The 'shim' in the gasket would not press out (to press in the old existing) so the whole set was returned with a few detailed pictures printed out for their edification.

Started by painting the brake calipers red. Then I attached a 24 inch of gloss black body side molding to the rear bumper to hide an ugly gouge (it was there when I bought the CF a year ago and it's bugged me ever since - but not enough to pay the local body shop $500 to repair! I tried to hide it with stick on reflectors but my wife thought that it looked "funny". So I carefully took those off and went with the molding instead. Then decided to clay bar, polish and wax it since I didn't have anything else to do as we waited for the winter storm to hit us. Shots show the deep finish I got for my efforts. (by the way the storm never did hit us, but that's OK with me!) Posting some pics if I can figure out how to do that. Last shot is of my CF sitting in the driveway just 3 weeks ago before it finally turned cold here in IL. Regards to my fellow CF owners! (I hope I attached photos correctly)
Painted front calipers
Front wheel back on after painting
Rear calipers harder to see but I still like the look
First try at hiding the the ding ( behind the reflector on the left side) Right reflector to balance out the rear.
Off goes the reflectors and on goes 24" of gloss black side molding. That did the trick!
Now time to clean my baby. My '05 Velocity Red Vette is on top - all ready for its winter hibernation!
Passenger side rear after cleaning
Drivers side rear afterwards
Hood reflection is awesome afterwards
Taken just before Thanksgiving. Time flies when you're retired and having FUN!

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Received & installed today the new car cover (Covercraft UltraTect) for the Coupe. Old car cover did its job during storm a few weeks back. But needed to replace it due to rips along seams from storm. New cover looks good.
Sent the car cover received earlier (& discussed in previous post) back due to poor workmanship. Cost me a ton to ship it back but I was really PO'd!

That's something you and I sometimes see in this state. When the temp is near freezing and below, I camp out in the house and yard (and) watch the news for all the new cars that have to be bought locally. LMAO
