I got on E-Bay and posted Mercedes air filter air box there many many listed with prices from $39.00 on up I paid $92.95 free shipping it shipped from New Jersey but they are all over the country, I got the air box and took out a filter and got on e-bay looking for the K&N filters there so many Mercedes models that use the same air box after much searching was able to find the dimensions the filter are the same as the Mercedes SL 500 were $93.98 free shipping plus Calif. tax. The one I got looks new and never used with Mercedes air filters look brand new but will install Monday.

Raised the rear hatch to happily see the rain was dripping through the spoiler drains I cleaned yesterday while installing the LED brake module on my coupe..

Look at the attached PDF, it lists one of the Mercedes covers and front nose piece that fits. This one just clears the hood liner, some others rub on the liner and get marked up pretty badly. The V8 covers do not fit, at least the three that I had did not.

I have or had the filters for this cover listed for sale, new OEM paper ones and used K&Ns as well. Nobody wanted them - strange.

Changed out the leaking, oil stained valve covers with a refurbished & painted set from Maxcichon.
Added a set of Magnecor 8.5 wires also. Great look. Really cleaned up the engine bay. Thanks Max for the quality parts. Excellent job on them!

Took her to Discount Tire for a tire inspection and tread depth check. Man the rears are wearing out MUCH faster than the fronts!!!

Washed/vacuumed and waxed, filled the tank and then put her back in the garage.

I wanted to change to the Mercedes engine cover some where on the forum it was mentioned the w220 cover so I bought one the filter is about 3 times more than tha standard XF filter it doesn't seem to fit it measures the same as the stock cove both in length and width did anybody use it on their XF what am I doing wrong I orders the K&N filters and just got them. So I ordered the cover for the SL320 and in checking for K&N filters it shows the larger filter #33-2181 ?? I have ordered the SLK 320 cover I wont grt until next week, I just wanted the Mercedes cove as it looks much better than the standard cover.
