How did you manage to get this covered under warranty?

The weather finally co-operated enough to get mine to it's first show of the summer. It sprinkled a few times on the drive there but, nothing that even got the car wet.

Over 100 cars there in spite of the weather, came home with one of the Top 70 awards. They made me sweat though, my name was the second to the last Top 70 called.

Got the TPMS functional again with DRB111 training the car computer to 4 new sensors (aftermarket, Napa # 92-1016C). Expensive, but had parts discount & paid labor under the table. See TPMS thread under Tires, Suspension etc.

Passenger looks brand new!

I removed the supercharger and intercooler from my SSB SRT6 roadster . . .

dcp_5023_zps7a09twnq.jpg

This job was more than a little bit outside of my comfort zone but I had the time available and I figured "That's how you learn Mr." I'll be replacing the entire engine wiring harness (you may remember that got chewed up by some hungry rats), installing a beautiful new Rudy made thermal coated intercooler, Needwings tweeked and teflon coated supercharger snout and Needswings wye pipe along with a very very nice "like new" supercharger that I was able to buy from forum member Randy Aderman (THANKS Randy). I'll also be installing the brand new 62mm supercharger pulley that Khang Vo made for me along with a LateModel21 Scatter shield.

Now the real challenge will be to see if I can actually reassemble everything, have no parts left over and have the car actually run! Next on the list is to get the 3.27 WaveTrac rear end installed. Hope to get everything done in time to take it to the fall Dragon GTG.

You will love those mats. Much better than your "regular" mat.

My 2007 Coupe turned over 18k during return from CAA6 in Arkansas. We're planning a short road trip this weekend to the Hendersonville, NC area.

Spent 6 hours cleaning inside and out!

Meguiars swirlX applied with a rotary and then a hand application of Collinite 845. SwirlX is some great stuff!

I was speaking with him about the special tool required to remove the hub to perform a rear wheel bearing replacement on the SRT-6. He said he wasn't aware of a special tool because he had never performed a wheel bearing replacement. I was a bit shocked.

If these technicians had to perform all the major procedures in their training they would be there for weeks, I doubt they spend more than five days if that in their Crossfire training. They probably just go through the Student Reference Book page by page with the instructor.

Decided it was time to change the brake fluid. 2004 with 35k miles and probably the original brake fluid. Easy job, takes about an hour. Gave me a chance to be sure I had anti-seize on the wheel hubs and lug bolts.

Also saw that the rear brake pads were getting worn, A half-hour job to replace them while I had the car up on jack stands and the wheels off.

Took her to the local Coffee and Cars. As the only Crossfire she carried the banner held high against a nearly full mall parking lot with everything from new Lamborghinis, an old supercharged Packard Hawk to dune buggies and rough but capable rice rockets. Great mix. Fun morning. Lots of interest in the Crossfire with numerous people commenting they had never seen an SRT6.

I love it when our XF's muddle the auto gene pool! Like yours, mine just gets a lot of interest wherever I go. I love reading others accounts of contacts with other car owners.
