Installed new water pump, thermostat, and idler pulley on my N/A. Did not have any loud noise or water leaks, but thought best to inspect belt drive before Eureka Springs. Car has 108,000 mi. Everything I replaced was original. I took the tension off the serpentine belt to check the bearings and found the idler bearing dry and the water pump drive pulley had a wobble in it. Purchased "Gates" at rock auto for replacements: The thermostat is OEM Wahler, the water pump was made in China and I had to tap the two holes (6x1.0) that hold the bracket for the camshaft sensor, the idler is made in Canada. I also flushed the cooling system and installed a new belt.

My exhaust system is almost finished! Just need to remove muffler and make one more weld. If this doesn't sound good, I'm not sure what I will do.

1) Replaced the Cabin Air Filter. Only had two maple seeds and few blades of grass.

2) Installed Driver Wiper Motor Arm Isolator (see pics here)

3) Installed Andrew's Roadster and Belt Decals (see pics here)

I changed the oil & filter on the SRT6, I had put 400 miles on it since last changing it. I took it out for a short drive, the odometer clicked over to 10,000 miles as I pulled in the driveway. I really have to drive it more...............

or
The Dragon in the Fall can add some miles to your SRT
I'd love to see you again

So basically you change the filter when it gets oily?

In the interest of being green I hope you then put it in the NA or give it to a needy soul.
Maybe you could put it in the used parts forum.

The wife and I took ours out to dinner this evening. About a 15 mile trip one way on mostly two lane back roads. Absoltuely perfect convertible weather. When we were leaving the restaurant an older woman pulled up on my wife's side and said "that sure is pretty". That was the first time that has happened when my wife was in the car. My wife said she was flirting with me but , I pointed out she was on her side talking to her.

Just to let ya'll know, the past few months I've had some challenging situations with my Firefly.
Well I finally got her back on the road March 13th with the larger throttlebody installed and a debaffled MAF. She's been running like a cat on fire! When she was torn apart, I started to regret buying her, but not anymore! She now runs like a sports car should, not like the hot rod SRT, but fast enough to be called a sports car.

Restored headlights with Sylvania Kit. They were not extremely bad but look great now.

To be fair I didn't do anything to the car itself but I managed a great score on oil. Back in March I bought four new tires for my Jeep at Pep Boys and because of that todays mail included a rewards envelope from them with a $40.00 reward (no minimum purchase) and another $10 coupon on any 5 quart jug of oil. According to the shelf tag the 5 quart jugs were $39.99 or $29.99 with the coupon. I used the $40 reward towards 3 additional quarts thinking I was going to end up getting $70 of oil for somewhere around $20. After everything he says I owe $8.31. After checking my receipt once outside the 5 quart rang up for just $16.98, if I would have known that in advance I would have bought 2 5 quart jugs. For the local guys in the Cincy area, this happened at the Pep Boys store on Colerain Ave in case you want to give it a try.

The guy ringing me up didn't mention any other rewards or coupons so I am not sure what happened. Pep Boys didn't have any of the recommend oil filters so I headed to Advanced. They had the Mann Hu718/5x or the Purolator L25277. Of course their data base says both are wrong but since the Purolator matched exactly what I have seen here I got that one. The Mann looked the same but the number was HU718/5x, the number I got here did not have the x. Here's a pic of what I got

Before I put it in the car is this right filter or should I return it and get the Mann? The filter cost $12.99 plus tax making everything for the oil change a whopping $21.30 or there abouts.

The HU 718/5 X is correct on the box. Filter just says HU 718/5.

MANN-FILTER Online Catalogue North America - Product Details Oil Filter HU 718/5 x

Purolator L25276 is the cheap paper one, L25277 is the correct fleece.

Installed new AGM battery from Remy batteries, East Penn ( Deka ) Intimidator 9AGM48.
My old battery was also an East Penn Deka, but not AGM and was a 2008 model.
It was working fine, just being proactive.

Finally got the exhaust installed and put the new tips on. I like the way it sounds now! Then undertook the task of changing my Hi-beams, always a pleasant job.

I decided to order the Oracle plasma halo rings from http://4wheelonline.com/oracle-lights.247163. My buddy will help me install these headlight rings since I'm afraid that I might brake the assembly.

Took car in to get O2 Sensor replaced. I don't know whether this is good or bad, but the mechanic refused to work on it. He said that, "the entire harness" must be changed. Has something to do with the "wiring harness" not being wired correctly?

Anybody have any ideas?

Also, will be joining the C.I.C.C.! Yippie!

Frankly, I don't know what he's talking about. The O2 sensor comes with a cable that has a connector on the end of it. You disconnect the cable or wiring, unscrew the old sensor, screw in the new sensor and plug it in the connector. Done! If which one is bad is a mystery then you switch them side to side to see if the code changes. Pretty easy stuff. Perhaps the wiring is melted? It's clipped up out of the way and protected for the most part. Confused. You need a detailed explanation of what the problem is from the mechanic.

tednite. Sounds like the "mechanic" probably did you a financial favor!!..I know some of the people on this forum can direct you as what steps to take next...maybe DIY....over the years, on their direction/advice, I have learned to do a lot of things and saved a lot of money...Carl
