Thank you sir! The Alabaster I kinda fell into due to a friends finance situation.. No regrets ... but this girl I picked out.

We had actually gone to a boat and travel show last January just to look around. Was pretty much thinking just buy one 3-4 years old come spring.. Set foot on this one and it was all over but the "sign here".. LOL 150HP so she's no slouch on the water for being a 23 footer.

It's always nice to get the clearcoat on without any mishaps. Cutting and buffing to come.

Thanks Southernscrew, I don't know why the paint went bad on the left quarter but it did, so stripping it down to the metal (on that quarter) and repainting the car was in order. The body was in perfect shape under the paint, so it had never been repaired. At anyrate, it's done now and she came out nice. Four days start to finish, make that four and a half, I still need to cut and buff it.

I almost just painted the rear quarter and driver's door, but I was a little worried about the paint matching. It's a small car and I thought 'what the heck' - kind of glad I did now that it's done. Of course, the hood, maybe a different story, I probably would just go ahead and paint the hood. If you were close, we'd knock it out.

I been looking at color samples to c what I like to go with ssb, but I want to do more, from front bumber down bottom back to rear bumper and mixed in complimenting the lines of the car..
I thinking about copper or a orange maybe sunburst orange.
What you guys/gals think?

As much as I hate to cut a new paint job, especially one that I managed to spray on right, I started cutting it today. 1,000 grit... Bluffing tomorrow.

I also decided to paint the front window trim graphite, did the three pieces inbetween sanding, I figured if I didn't like it, I could always repaint it. The old Vette seemed like a great place for them to dry.

Thanks, Autumnmass,

Buffing now, just took a break, I'm moving at my speed (laughing). It's coming out nice, got the hood almost done and the roof is done. Inbetween buffing, I'm finishing up the sanding. I'd post some pictures but it won't let me for some reason. I did post some on another tread on painting.

I wouldn't go as far as 'awesome' but it's coming out pretty nice for a home shop on a ranch job.
