Is
you
the forum in general, or just RETS ?
What the hay, I'll answer it anyway : The EC tune will NOT make your car act like it has a sprint booster.
If you want that, then you will have to get a sprint booster.

Special day to day, the car got a good wash for only the second time this year. You just have to love that Aero Blue instead of the black.
I noticed that the car needed to be clay barred - badly, so I did that as well but just the horizontal surfaces as I only had a wee bit of bar left. I used Meguiars Ultimate Detailer as a lubricant so now it shines great as well.

Checked for rust under the doors - none.

I don't have a sprint booster, but the instantaneous throttle response sounds appealing.

The Eurocharged tune on the other hand, now that gives you some real passing power in 3rd and 4th!

I have to respectfully disagree with one of my friends who answered your question . . .

I have an adjustable sprint booster on my SSB SRT6 and when I got the Eurocharged tune the throttle became WAY TO0 RESPONSIVE and it was actually a challenge to feather the throttle and drive the car. I had to turn the sprint booster off. So that's my experience on the subject . . .

Agree with Red Dog. I didn't have a sprint booster, and after Eurocharged the throttle was extremely responsive. So much so that I got a limited slip diff from jim...and love it!

Drove a lot the past two days. And spent more than I'm willing to admit at the pump. Austin has great empty roads all around perfect for spending hours and hours on.

Got the #1 SRT6 washed up and took a few minutes to admire the new dark blue convertible top! Getting ready for the Dragon!

That piece is a major pain! It's hard to get and rare to find. Dealerships will charge you up to $700 just for the top piece and I found a link here on the forum to a Mopar Parts site that offered the top piece for $388.
I also searched for it used through ebay - Wrote messages to every guy on ebay who offered Xfire parts by parting out a salvage vehicle - Just a week ago I found one guy selling it for $150 and the other wanted $200. If you are looking for the part it's definitely there you just have to search (unless you don't care about price and order it from Mopar or Chrysler dealership).

If you go the used route I would still make sure to use some strong epoxy to tie it down so it won't go flying again!

I feel your pain. My molding was faded so I took it to the body shop to get it repainted. A couple of weeks later on the highway the top piece fell off and the side pieces started to shift because they were loose. Took it back to the body shop and they took full responsibility and even went ahead to order a brand new piece from Chrysler. Cost them $680!!! (Insane)
Got it back today, looks awesome and I have the piece of mind that it wasn't used and therefore the clips could be fragile. They still made sure all three pieces won't come off anymore as they used epoxy to tie it down!

Been without her for a while...missed her dearly! Glad she's back

Yeah, I PMed him within minutes of him offering the salvaged XF and he stated he would sell me the surround. I got back with him and it had been sold out from under me...

No worries on your part, just shady business on his, IMHO.

Car is looking great! My parents had a beige top put on their SSB and it looked good (and did much better in the heat) but that blue is sharp. Maybe some blue piping on the seats to bring it all together?

Just got home from work and went online and ordered a Crankcase Position Sensor to carry to the Dragon as insurance. By the way Red Dog, your car looks great with that blue top.

Just got off the phone with the place I ordered my two front tires from. They only have one tire in stock and apparently they are manufacturer discontinued but, they found another one in Georgia so it will be an additional 3 to 5 days.

Red Dog, where did you get the top from (manufacturer)? Link perchance?

The top was made by / purchased from Electron Top . . .

Replacement Convertible Top Manufacturer, convertible tops, rag tops

When you look at the color chart on the website, the material is the Haartz Sonnenland Fabric. I paid $700.00 for the top including the glass rear window with defroster (but I purchased it through the company that did the installation for me so if you deal directly with Electron Top you may be able to purchase the top for a bit less). You have to send in your old top (less the rear window) so they can recover the plastic extruded pieces and sew those into the new top. Quick turn-around time though of only 7 -10 days. I'm VERY satisfied with the quality of the top.
