Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I finally put all my stereo back in the car. It has been a few years since everything has been plugged in. A more updated look but the same equipment.
All Clarion
-3 amps, 4 speakers, 6 tweeters, 4 subs, single din cd player with options. Still wont mask the exhaust note...

I actually spoke to another CrossFire owner. It was my first time in over a year! It was exciting! We yelled, while stopped at a light across to each other, he, about my new grill. And me, about his convertible. I think he said his name on Xfireforum is "Bitewing"? Well, if any of you know him Tednite says "hey".

THIS FILTER WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT FIT A SINGLE NEEDSWINGS CAI ON A N/A
THE 3" INSIDE DIAMETER IS FINE BUT THE OVERALL FILTER IS WAY TO LARGE
I RETURNED IT FOR A REFUND FORTUNATELY

Picked up the car from getting new tires: Kumho Ecsta 4X, replacing Continental DWS. I don't drive in legitimate snow but I do drive when it is very cold out, so all seasons are the name of the game. So far the dry grip is noticeably better which makes sense given the treadwear ratings.
Got an alignment done. Everything was fairly even and close to spec except front toe, which was way off. Shop was able to get it back in spec, and I double-checked and nothing looks bent or damaged, so... who knows. A lot of potholes after last year's flooding here, so it's not surprising really.
Tightened the steering pinch fitting at the steering box - it felt tight but had about 3/4 turn left to get to spec. Sure enough that fixed up a clunk and dead area in the steering.
Cleaned my air filter.
Started trying to make my grimy engine bay look nicer by running some degreaser and water through it.
Diagnosed a problem with my outside temp sensor: turns out the wires were cut, so I'm assuming an animal got into the bumper cover somehow. A couple of crimp connectors and it works again. Checked the rest of the wiring harness in that area (to the fog lights) and nothing wrong there. Go figure.
Tweaked the adjustment on my Konis a bit towards the "softer" side.
Put some generic hangers with filled centers on my OBX exhaust. I was just using "donuts" and I followed someone else driving my car the other day and noticed the exhaust bouncing around a bit more than I'd like.
Throttle reset.
Next step is hunting down a rattle in my passenger's door, but that will have to wait for next week - tomorrow will be spent swapping valve springs on the Lotus and trying to vinyl wrap a friend's Honda.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
We went to the Rising Sun Car Show. Myself and two friends, one with a SRT coupe and the other an SE vert. 480 vehicles, 150 more than they have ever had but just 3 Crossfires. The other two guys are up for another GTG sometime this summer so keep- checking here and the mid-west forum for another possible meet. Here is a pic of our cars. The black Base is mine, the SE belongs to Eric Amshoff and the SRT to Doug Miller. Neither of them are on the forum but are planning to sign up.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Here are pics of each car, mine has 40,200, Eric's SE has just over 31,000 and Doug's SRT has right around 36,000. No trophies for the Crossfire three, we were in the 2005-present class that they gave 13 awards in. Of the 13 awards, 12 went to Corvettes and Mustangs with the 13th going to a Scion Xb. Just walking around I would guess there 40 or 45 Corvettes with most of them being C5's or newer. Same thing with the Mustangs.

Don't sweat it Doc. All day Saturday the weather forcast for Sunday was 0% chance of rain. I wake up this morning , look at radar and it's lite up with rain. Our group managed to get there dry and other than one drizzle event (about 1:00 pm) that didn't even get the ground wet it wasn't to bad. Although after that drizzle it became more humid and uncomfortable.
