So, I treated myself to a good highway run on my birthday
I checked the calendar this morning, you were not in it, so I didn't wish you a Happy Birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!

Test fitted a new set of rims on my car and this is what a 10.5" wide rim with a +27 offset looks like...
Sticks out a little, fills all the inside without rubbing at the moment, no spacer needed I hope once the tire is mounted.

Start putting up Rooster tails on the QEW and you will get to meet a friendly OPP officer.

The tire will still stay under the fender, Pic looks worse than what it is.

I had to charge the battery, I guess 10 weeks is too long not to drive it. This is the first year that we had constant snow.

When I got off work today at 4:30 it was an unbelievable 72 degrees. The wife and I met our son for an early dinner and she was really pushing for me to get the Crossfire out and put the top down. The problem is that the streets still have coating of salt but, even worse is the amount of course sand that is everywhere. In the end I decided not to get her out but, once we got home I did uncover her and let her run for a good half hour.

When I got in the car I put the key in gave it a turn and all I got was the usually dash lights. No crank, no click nothing. My heart sank, then I remembered, DEPRESS THE CLUTCH YOU MORON! I think I have been reading to many threads here about no start, engine dies and various other issues.

Ordered a new fan control module...After buying a new radiator fan the coolant light won't turn off and fan still won't turn on.

Hopefully this $180 part fixes the damn problem.

No, it's not a bad fuse.

I hear ya. I have been driving my roadster with a stick all winter as a DD. This week I am driving the SRT to work. Twice I have depressed the clutch to downshift....almost putting the wife into the wind shield each time.

Seems one cannot double clutch an autostick There's a brake pedal where the clutch ought to be.

I don't think the brake pedal is in a different location between the auto and manual cars.

Nice day here, finally! SO....I got the Crossfire out of mothballs, cleaned it up a little (it didn't need much). It fired up on the first crank, so I let it idle a little and checked all the components to see if they still work (well most of them anyway) and then went for my first joyride in the car. This a simple N/A Roadster, but man was I impressed with the power this thing has and with how well it drove and responded to command. I really had no idea how well these cars perform when working properly. It really is more fun to drive than my Vette (which I sold by the way). I think I'll keep this one around until the sticky key problem stops me cold (lol). I can't really imagine how fast an SRT must be!!

LOL, All of our cars are manuals because the wife will drive nothing else. My daily DD before the XF was a Chevy Malibu lease. As I was coming up to a stop light I did the same thing, the car jerked and the wife says "What the h#ll you doing!" my response "Using the clutch of course." her response "Well knock it off." I would never tell her this but, she is a much better manual driver than I am. It's probably not much of a secret.

Awesome! Our cars definitely belong in that group and think of Amelia as the Pebble Beach of the East.

My first drive at the local Chrysler dealership sealed that deal. However, you've got to be wary of law enforcement. My favorite time in the SRT-6 is merging with freeway traffic. People's eyes bug out.

Took my 2nd decent road trip to ATL in the crossfire this past weekend. Drove like a dream (especially in that ATL traffic). Im getting used to the blind spot. I adjusted my mirrors in a way where once a car disappears in one mirror i can usually see it in the other.

Prior to that, I restored the headlights using a kit suggested on the boards. Worked great!
