What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I installed a set of PosiQuiet ceramic brake pads on my fronts. Took off a set of Golds that Gary gave me off his car that had about 65k on them.
That was 2 or more years ago, and I put another 30k on them, and still weren't down to the brake sensors. The Posi-Quiets went on using Andrews tutorial, and eventho I hadn't done something like this, it was pretty straight forward. THEN I took my car out and bedded in the pads according to procedure described on Stoptec.com. The pedal, right after install, was soft and spongy, but after the bed-in procedure, it became firm and actually rasied up about 1/2 to 3/4 inch.
Color me HAPPY!!!

I took those Rotex Golds off my car on May 22, 2011 and gave them to you.
I don't recall how many miles they had on them while on my car but I would guess about 50,000 miles would be close.
Glad to know they went another 30,000 miles on your car.
They are a high quality pad for sure

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAHHHH! That was great.
I actually got to drive mine for the first time in over a month. Sunny, 57 degrees and all the snow is gone (except for the plow piles) thanks to this past weeks warmth. By Tuesday we will be back in the freezer so I took advantage today and drove about 65 miles. As I left the house I put the top down, as I was sitting at a stop sign to pull out on the main road I glance in my mirror as see a pretty young lady waving to me. Not sure if I know her or not I wave back and she yells "I like your car." I yell back "Thanks." and off I go. A great way to start a great drive and the car ran like a dream. By the way today is the one year anniversary of my XF purchase and so far it's been nothing but

Had the infamous breather cover leak. So I removed both and applied a new gasket, I'll start her up tomorrow and see if the new gasket holds tight.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I did 20% all the way around Sunday
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
a) carved out a 18"Lx4"Hx3"D section out of the rear crossmember in my coupe, now goes back another 1/2"
b) carved the side bolsters from the bottom of the spare driver's seat I bought and added about 1/2" of foam to the center, pretty sure the front leg wedge was causing the hip pain others have reported. Feels better but may remove/soften some of the center again, is a bit too hard now.
c) Which scan tool did you buy ? I just have Torque pro on my cell phone and clip it to the CD slot.
Seat on left is after sectioning, right is stage one, mostly removal of the plastic shelf & application of a sledge hammer.

Well the breather cover gasket didn't hold, got the tiniest of leaks in the corner...guess I'll be giving it a re-do this weekend.
I swear by Kumho Ecsta 4X tires. Have them on mine and my previous car, great all-season tire that won't break the bank.
