Real World Comparison: OEM vs. Disc Italia Titanium Kevlar Brake Pads
Real World Comparison: OEM vs. Disc Italia Titanium Kevlar Brake Pads
So the main things that I wanted out of the Disc Italia Brake Pads was a little bit more of a smoother stop and much less brake dust. And man, they do not disappoint! With a little more money than OEM pads, you get a MUCH smoother braking feeling. I know this is going to sound contradictory but it feels like you are braking on a sheet of glass. It's so incredibly smooth. It's as if the car is just magically slowing down, there's no feeling to it at all.
And as for the brake dust, well only pictures can describe that.
OEM Pads: Photos taken at 7:45 PM @ Night, One Week after Car Wash, Commute 100 miles each day, 5 days in the week, casual driving on the weekends.
Disc Italia Titanium Kevlar: Photos also taken at 7:45 PM @ Night, One Week after Installation and subsequent car wash, Commute 100 miles each day, 5 days in the week, casual driving over the past weekend.
The photos speak for themselves. While no brake pad can completely eliminate brake dust, these certainly come very near close to it. Quite possibly the best bang for my buck I've ever spent on an "upgrade".
